Fifteen years ago, our journey began in Chatsworth, Georgia, with a coonhound named Buckshot—a birthday gift that would forever change the course of our lives. At the time, I knew nothing about hounds or the art of hunting, but I was unknowingly stepping into a tradition and lifestyle that would enrich my family's story.

The initial struggles were overwhelming. With no headlamps, no tracking systems, just Buckshot and the sounds of the night, I learned to turn him loose and follow his voice through the darkness. Many nights, we would let down the tailgate, open the dog box door, and sleep in the truck, waiting for the familiar sound of Buckshot jumping back in, sometimes at 4 or 5 AM. While I often felt disappointment and frustration, those long nights also gifted me precious time with my boys, moments that I wouldn’t trade for anything.

Fast forward to today, and I can proudly say I’ve hunted with various styles of hounds across diverse terrains. Over the years, I’ve accumulated the right equipment to keep pace with the hound hunting community. I've learned that the best companions for the rigorous terrains I traverse are American English Coonhounds, whose heart and grit perfectly match my passion for this pursuit.

This journey has been an adventure into a world I’ve come to love deeply, adding to my family some of the greatest companions a man could hope for. Each hunt is not just a pursuit; it’s a celebration of tradition, family, and the bond we share with our hounds.
